UIQ 2.1 on the Sony Ericsson P900

UIQ (User Interface Quartz) is a Symbian user interface which was maintained by UIQ Technology[1] and used by Sony Ericsson, Motorola, BenQ and Arima.

UIQ 1.x was never released with any devices, but 2.x was used in early touchscreen phones with a 208 × 320 display, like the Sony Ericsson P800. UIQ 3 used a more common 240 × 320 screen resolution. Versions 3.1 and 3.2 were only used on one device each, while 3.3 was never used on any released device.

Nokia used the competing Series 60 platform which ended up being more popular, but also released one UIQ phone, the Nokia 6708, which was a rebranded version of the BenQ P31.
