The Sony Ericsson K500 (codenamed Alice) is a mid-range, tri-band mobile phone announced in Q3 2004, as the functionally-reduced version of their flagship K700, which was being introduced roughly at the same time.

The K500 is a candybar style phone that weighs 88 grams, and uses a joystick for navigation. It supports MP3 playback, animated themes, and 3D games. The phone's keypad lights up with orange LEDs, and below it is the QuickShare text (or carrier branding). QuickShare was a marketing term that meant that images could be shared easier than ever in only a few key presses.

The K500 was available in two colors - Virtual Silver and Cosmetic Blue.

Marketing and firmware issues

This phone is almost never being sold officially in Croatia as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but firmware releases containing Serbian language were being partially available.
