The Samsung Gravity 3 (model SGH-T479) is a messaging oriented GSM/3G slider phone with a QWERTY keyboard, first released on June 23, 2010 by T-Mobile USA.

Variants

Original

The T-Mobile USA version comes in black with a choice of two accent colors, marine blue and citrus white, and comes with a web2go browser.

Re*Generation

The Samsung Gravity 3 Re*Generation (SGH-T479B) was released on June 10, 2011 for Virgin Mobile Canada in the red colour. When purchased, $15 was donated to Virgin Unite to help the fight against youth homelessness.[1] Virgin previously carried a non-charitable version.

Other

In Canada, SaskTel and Solo Mobile also sold the Gravity 3. While it was offered in the same red colour available at Virgin, no charitable donations were made. Although Solo Mobile ceased its retail presence by November 2011, sales of the Gravity 3 on the carrier's website were not discontinued until March 2012.
