The Nokia 3155 (type RM-41) is a tri-mode CDMA phone announced in March 2005. It features video ringtones, an extendable antenna, and support for audio/video streaming (carrier-dependent).

The 3155 was offered by Reliance in India, Sprint and U.S. Cellular in the United States. Also offered by Virgin Mobile in Canada, it was available in both a basic bundle and a special edition "rockbox bundle" which included a special red and white striped faceplate, a Nokia FM tuner and earbud, as well as a Virgin Mobile wristband.

The 3155 is one of Nokia's few CDMA clamshell phones and is a close cousin to the Nokia 2855.

Issues

  • Many people have reported that the 3155's hinge breaks after a few months of use.[1]

Variants

  • 3152 (RM-61): Lacks the CDMA 1900 band.
  • 3155i (RM-41): Adds GPS support which was used for emergency calls.
  • VI-3155: Sprint variant of the 3155i.

Related phones

  • Nokia 2855: Has a very similar appearance, but in different colors. Supports BREW as well as Java.
