Mocor OS
|
Mocor OS is a proprietary operating system used on feature phones powered by Spreadtrum/Unisoc systems-on-chip. It is not to be confused with Mocordroid or Mocor5, an Android-based platform used on Spreadtrum smart feature phones.
Some Mocor OS devices, such as the Nokia 3310 3G, support Java MIDlets via either Jblend or Esmertec Jbed. Certain older models have limited support for Mythroad applications.
Bugs
- Mocor OS devices based on the SC6531E chipset are vulnerable to a clock fault injection attack, where grounding the SoC's clock pin leads to a password bypass.[1]
Trivia
- The 'bubble' keypad sound used on Mocor OS (including Spreadtrum-powered Series 30+ devices) is a direct rip of "Utopia Critical Stop" from Windows 9x.
- On many generic Mocor OS devices, unplugging the charger results in a text box saying "Charger is pluged out.", which is a misspelling of "Charger is plugged out."
