Jussi Salonen (composer)

From Legacy Portable Computing Wiki

Jussi Salonen is a composer who was employed at Nokia during 2001 to 2002. Along with Markus Castrén, he is known to have worked on ringtones for the Nokia N-Gage and other phones using the Mango soundbank, such as the Nokia 3300 and 7600. After both composers left, three composers immediately joined in their place: Aleksi Eeben, Hannu af Ursin and Henry Daw.

Very little is known about Salonen, although his employment has been confirmed by Castrén, Eeben and then-sound team manager Jarkko Ylikoski. His musical style is known to be rather electronic/techno-leaning. He is not to be confused with the software engineer of the same name, who has worked at Nokia since 1997.

There are a few ringtones that are very likely to have been composed by Salonen, although none of these are formally confirmed as his work.
